Who doesn’t like having a nice, warm rug in their house? Personally, I’ve always been fascinated by Persian rugs.
That’s what led to this review of the Empire Rectangle Area rug.
Here, I review aspects of this rug after months of use in a busy house (with a pet). Well, as much as one can review a rug!
Many people want a vintage look where the rug looks like it’s faded a little bit and worn away. This Empire rectangle area rug does have that faded look.
However, it doesn’t seem to have a very ‘even’ fadedness. Perhaps that helps contribute to the more ‘worn’ look.
Also, the rug is not very thick; It’s quite thin but, on the other hand, it is good quality.
Being a lower tread, it is relatively safe for elderly people walking around and on it because it tends not to trip them up. That’s due to the fact that it isn’t really very high off of the floor.
It’s quite a solid thickness and the threads are short.
This is a good rug for buying if you have a dog that spends a lot of time in the same room as the rug. The reason for this is that you can easily replace it by buying another rug should you need to.
Pets do tend to wear out rugs by laying on them (they seem to be magnetised to them!) and because this is an inexpensive purchase, it’s not going to be too costly to replace.
